Simon has been interested in photography for many years using film cameras but since the age of digital it has allowed him to express his creativity and brought a great enthusiasm to his work. Showing throughout the site are many photographs taken in his home county of West Sussex with others from Dorset, Scotland, New Zealand and Iceland

With the age of digital many photographers manipulate their work to some degree, and with digital this is easily overdone. Simon`s images have only had minimal work carried out which may include saturation increase, contrast adjustment or B & W conversion. Many of these techniques where used decades before, but digital has brought creative flexibility to Simon`s finger tips.

When adjustments are made  it is nearly always limited to the fine tuning of colour and exposure to maximise the dynamic range within the image utilising hand blending techniques with adjustment layers and luminosity masks for superb clarity.

Simon`s image workflow uses the latest methods of digital processing and techniques. This being very obvious in the custom prints Simon produces on both high end Inkjet printers and the latest Light jet, Chromira and Lambda printers.

With the advance in computer software Simon`s panoramic images are composites of two, three or more images allowing for larger print sizes with excellent reproduction qualities, but still maintaining the original beauty of the landscape.

Simons work can be seen in selected Sussex and Scottish Calendars and also graces the homes of private individuals and businesses. Simon has also been commissioned by Knepp Castle Estate and had an image Highly Commended in the Landscape Photographer of the year.
